Who we are
Casa Joy is a bilingual portal that helps Costa Rica property owners manage expenses, documents, contacts, and maintenance. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions about this policy can be sent to the contact address below.
Data we collect
Account data: your name, email address, optional WhatsApp number, and language preference. Property data you enter: property names and addresses, expenses and amounts, contact details for the people who service your properties, maintenance records, and any documents you upload (for example deeds, insurance policies, or permits). Technical data: authentication session cookies and basic request information needed to operate the service securely.
How we use your data
We use your data solely to provide the service: showing you your own records, sending the reminder emails you have enabled, and letting you share access to a property with people you invite. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes your data
Your data is stored and processed by our infrastructure providers: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Vercel (application hosting), and Resend (transactional email delivery). Each processes data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Sharing within the product
If you invite someone to a property (for example a property manager or accountant), they can see the data for that property according to the role you give them. You can revoke access at any time from the People page.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account yourself under Account → Delete account: properties only you own are permanently deleted along with their documents and records, and your login is removed. Properties co-owned with others remain with them.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only: your sign-in session, your language choice, and your light/dark theme preference. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can view and correct your profile information in the app, export your records by contacting us, and delete your account at any time. If you have a privacy question or request we haven't covered, contact us and we will respond as quickly as we can.
Changes and contact
